Frequently asked questions

How do I get there?

There are three main ways:

  • Shared launch from Tigre: about 35 to 60 minutes, depending on stops.
  • Water taxi: about 15 minutes.
  • Your own boat: Vita Delta has moorings inside a sheltered lagoon.

You can also get off at Muelle Felipe and walk about 25 to 30 minutes to the complex.

What kinds of cabins do you have, and what do they include?

We have five cabins. Bamboo, Arrebol and Madre Selva are the largest: 36 m² over two floors, for up to 5 guests. Bamboo and Arrebol look onto the San Antonio River; Madre Selva faces the inner stream. Guatemala and Tokio are 29 m², sleep up to 4, feel cosier and more intimate, and look onto the grounds and the lagoon.

All of them have:

  • Starlink Wi-Fi
  • air conditioning
  • heating
  • a kitchen
  • a fridge
  • a full bathroom
  • bed linen
  • towels
  • their own fire pit

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in usually starts at 13:00. Check-out is usually by 10:00, and can be extended to 16:00 on Sundays and some weekends.

But cabin times don't have to cut your day short. You can arrive before check-in and enjoy the grounds and Bemvelon, or hand over the cabin and stay on after check-out.

What should I bring?

We especially recommend:

  • insect repellent
  • sunscreen
  • comfortable clothes
  • warm layers, depending on the season
  • boots or shoes that can handle mud if it has rained
  • personal medication
  • groceries for cooking
  • cash

In the months when Bemvelon isn't open regularly, it's especially worth sorting out your groceries before you arrive.

What are your rates and booking policies?

Rates depend on:

  • the cabin
  • the number of guests
  • the dates
  • the number of nights
  • whether it is a weekend, public holiday or special period

There are rates for single nights as well as for full weekends and longer stays.

Your booking is confirmed with a 50% deposit. The deposit is non-refundable and cannot be cancelled free of charge, but if you let us know in advance that you need to reschedule, the amount can be kept as credit for 12 months.

Do I need to bring food?

Not necessarily. Every cabin has a kitchen and a fridge. You can also:

  • eat at or order food from Bemvelon when it is open
  • buy frozen home-made meals ready to heat up
  • use the island's general store

Is there food delivery?

There is currently no regular delivery service by boat to Vita Delta.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes. The whole complex runs on Starlink.

Is there mobile signal?

Yes, the main carriers usually have coverage.

What happens during a power cut?

Vita Delta has an emergency generator. It keeps the essential services running:

  • lighting
  • the fridge
  • the Smart TV
  • Starlink Wi-Fi

Thanks to the generator, the internet connection can stay up even during a power cut. To avoid overloading it, high-consumption appliances cannot be used during those periods, including:

  • air conditioning
  • electric heating
  • the electric oven
  • electric kettles
  • hair dryers
  • other high-power appliances

Hot water in the shower may also be unavailable for a while during a cut. In area-wide outages, mobile coverage can be affected too, but Vita Delta's Wi-Fi keeps working thanks to Starlink and the generator.
